exciting news!

My beloved friend Shadra Strickland just won Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe Award for New Talent! I am so thrilled and happy for her. Congratulations Shadra! Check out her beautiful book BIRD.

The weather is so dark today. I feel like it's a perfect day to stay in my cozy room with tea. 

I hope I can get some work done today.

I just got a F&G of Only a Witch Can Fly~!

I looked through the color proofs with my art director yesterday and everything seems really coming along well.

I am so excited with this book!

The book will be published next year spring or summer.

Beginning of this year I worked on the Meet the Austins Quintet cover art. And I just found out from my art director that the Austin Family Chronicles won first place for Children's Trade Cover Series at the New York Book Show.  yay~!
